QUILTS OF LIFE

Welcome

Quilts of Life

Roland’s Welcome Address

Welcome to Quilt of Life r.us. Our journey started 6 years ago with Old Men Stories. Our radio show, by that name, was heard around the world. Our purpose was to provide a fun path for telling your life’s stories. During the journey we found wonderful song writers who had fun contributing their original songs. We were introduced to Quilt songs by such great artists as Terry Smith, Pat Boilesen and Carolyn Carter. These quilt songs inspired us to create a family of opportunities for everyone to participate in and journey with us on the long roads or short ones. You can be inspired to have fun telling your life stories, create story patches for quilts, large or small and throw pillows with love ones on. We have artists from around the world ready to assist you with the patches, quilts, life song(s) and telling your magical journey through life.

Roland's Quilt Song

I just finishing dreaming and now I’m awake, I gaze out the window and  look at the lake. Leaning gains’t the back-board of our lovely bed. I think of the new day and what lies ahead. Looking  down at the pictures of my history. All sewn on quilt patches so neatly to see. And as happens  sometimes, tears of  joy start to leak, And I feel the warm drops, as they run down my cheek. My mind wonders lying here under this quilt. Of a life of hard work, love and happ-i-ness built. Each patch I look at,  floods my mind with a story. Personally attended….   each a moment of  glory. It’s trimmed with an edging as blue as the sky. My choice, to enjoy that quilt where I lie. Had fun in the choosing as it was being built Each piece is a time of my life on that quilt. It’s such fun to pick a new patch every day, But now it’s time for me to go on my way. To reflect and enjoy, thou nothing been said. About my lovely quilt as I get out of bed
